Our Maisie dress was inspired by the cheerful colors and playful prints commonly seen in many 1930's clothing catalogs. Our Melody print fabric paired with our exclusive coordinated solid tones, brings back the playful styles of the mid to late 1930's for all to enjoy. The cheerful Maisie dress may seem like a blouse and skirt, but is actually a shirtwaist dress. It features a beautiful bodice in Rapture Rose, a skirt in our signature Melody print, and a separate sash in the perfect tone of blue. Photos of color tones on model may appear different on your screen than in real life.

I wore the Maisie dress for the first time while in New York City! and I loved it. It’s cool and breezy during the hot day’s of the concrete jungle that is Manhattan. I actually rode a bike along the Hudson River and it was the easiest thing while wearing this dress. I highly recommend this dress, not only for its comfort, but for its style as well. Thank you, Lauren for creating a awesome dress! (You can see Ashley's photo in the image gallery)
Such a fun dress! The fit is perfect and the fabric is smooth and moves so well. Great for dancing or hanging out at the cruise-in. Be prepared for a ton of compliments! (You can see Jeanette's photo in the image gallery)
I love this dress! The colors are just beautiful. Novelty prints are so fun anyway, and I sing in choir and play handbells so musical notes were perfect for me. The dark color in the print is navy, my favorite neutral and not too dark. The sash is a lot of fun; it can be draped wide like in the model pictures, or narrower as I have. The fabric is light and flowing but not flimsy, and comfortable. Soft but not clinging. The range of motion is very good, and all construction is good quality and sturdy. Very cute molded buttons. The fit is also extremely forgiving! My bust and waist are perfectly Medium on the chart, while my hips are a good size (or two!) bigger, but the fit is just fine. Definitely order by bust and waist; there’s good vintage ease, but it’s not loose. The length of the skirt is very flattering, hitting just below the knee on me, and I am 5’9″ with long legs. While a statement dress, the Maisie has many ways to accessorize. I pulled out the navy on this cool morning by wearing a navy jacket. White shoes are neutral, but I could have gone with green, navy, blue, or pink to emphasize those colors in the print. I can wear a belt in any of those colors, too, instead of the sash, for a less retro look. The solid blouse top is the perfect background for a big pin or flower. And the whole thing can be dressed up with stockings or hose and heels, dressed down with bare legs and sandals, or dressed warm with tights and boots. Love it! Photography by Jennifer Thompson. My favorite new dress! The fit is fabulous (I’m a true S on the chart), the fabric is soft with a good weight, the colors are gorgeous, and it is perfect for dancing! I feel so cute in this dress- thanks so much, Wearing History! (You can see Mrs Hude's photo in the image gallery)
Fits perfectly (just like the Victoria dress) and I love the Melody print. I feel lucky to have gotten one of such a limited run!
